Academic Tutoring · IGCSE / International GCSE
IGCSE,
one to one.
This page is for Singapore families whose child is taking IGCSE or International GCSE at an international or British-curriculum school. Subject specialists teach English, Maths and the sciences one to one, online, following your child's exam board and specification.
01 / Exam boards
Your child's specification.
| Exam board | Qualification | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Cambridge International | Cambridge IGCSE | Core and Extended tiers in many subjects |
| Pearson Edexcel | International GCSE | Foundation and Higher tiers in some subjects |
Cambridge International

Pearson Edexcel

Tiers and papers differ by subject. We work from the specification your child's school uses.
02 / Timing
A two-year course.
IGCSE is usually studied over two years, in Years 10 and 11 (ages 14 to 16), before IB or A-Level. Exams are held in the summer and in the autumn series (to be confirmed); your child's school decides which series it enters.
Lessons follow the school's order of topics, then shift to past papers and revision before mocks and the final exams.
04 / Questions
About IGCSE lessons.
Is IGCSE the same as O Level?
No. We teach Cambridge IGCSE and Pearson Edexcel International GCSE, not the Singapore-Cambridge GCE O Level.
When should we start?
It can help to start at the beginning of the two-year course or after the first school reports, rather than just before mocks.
