05 / Questions

English lessons: common questions.

English is not our home language. Is this the right course?

These lessons are for students studying English as a school subject at an English-medium school. The coordinator can tell you after the first consultation whether subject lessons or other support fits better.

Can the tutor use the texts my child is studying at school?

Yes. Share the reading list or scheme of work and lessons are planned around it.

Will the tutor write or correct coursework?

No. Tutors teach the skills and comment on drafts within the school's and exam board's rules on outside help. The work remains your child's.
