Questions,
answered.
Answers to the questions executives and professionals ask before they begin Executive English: how lessons work online, how tutors are chosen, how your documents are handled, and how fees in USD are paid.
01Lessons and time zones3
How are lessons taught?
One to one, online, by video call. ELT has no classroom for Executive English. (to be confirmed)
Can lessons fit my time zone?
Usually, yes. You choose your time zone when you book, and your coordinator offers times that fit it. Tutors teach from different time zones (to be confirmed).
What if I travel or my schedule changes?
You can move a lesson with (to be confirmed) notice. If your time zone changes, your coordinator moves your lesson times with you.
02Tutors2
How is my tutor chosen?
Your coordinator matches a tutor after your first consultation, based on your situations, industry and the times you can take lessons.
Can I change tutor?
Yes. Tell your coordinator, who arranges a new tutor and hands over the notes from your lessons so far.
03Confidentiality2
Can I bring confidential documents to lessons?
You decide what to bring, and you can remove names, figures or anything sensitive before sharing. (to be confirmed)
Are my lessons recorded?
(to be confirmed)
04Fees, payment and cancellation4
Why are fees in USD?
Executive English is offered to clients in many countries, so it is contracted in one currency, US dollars — including for clients in Hong Kong, Singapore and Taiwan. See fees.
Who is the contract with?
ELT School is operated by ELT Education Inc. (Tokyo, Japan) and ELT School of English Ltd. (London, United Kingdom). All lessons, including Executive English, are contracted with ELT Education Inc.
How do I pay?
(to be confirmed)
Can I cancel or pause?
(to be confirmed) See the terms of service.
05Companies and corporate training2
Can my company pay for my lessons?
(to be confirmed)
How is Executive English different from corporate training?
Executive English is one to one, for an individual, built around that person's work. Training for a team or a whole company is arranged by ELT Education Inc. — see elteduc.com (opens in a new tab).
