Course · Boarding school entry

UKiset preparation,
one to one.

This course is for families in any country whose child will take UKiset to apply to a UK independent school. A specialist tutor works on the reasoning, English and maths the test assesses, in its format, and links that work to your child's ordinary school subjects.

A plan, then weekly lessons.

  1. Starting pointAn initial lesson finds out where your child stands in each part of UKiset.
  2. Weekly lessonsTutors teach from Japan and the UK, so lessons are arranged in your own time zone — after school or at weekends where you live. Your coordinator confirms which hours are available for your country. (to be confirmed)
  3. Notes and reportsA short written note follows every lesson, and parents receive a report every (to be confirmed).
  4. Final weeksPractice under timed conditions in the test's format, then a closing review with your coordinator.

03 / Timing

When to begin.

Beginning several months ahead of the test date often helps, and earlier if English or maths needs work first. Your coordinator counts back from each school's registration deadline and matches your child's school year to the UK one. We do not promise a result or a set length of preparation.

UKiset is taken at a test centre or under arrangements set by the test provider, depending on where you live (to be confirmed). Check the official site for options in your country.

Your tutors.

UKiset preparation is led by tutors whose profiles list their background, the subjects and tests they teach, and the qualifications ELT has checked.

04 / Questions

Questions about UKiset.

Where can my child take UKiset?

That depends on your country and the test provider's current arrangements. (to be confirmed) See the official UKiset site (opens in a new tab).

Can you guarantee a pass or a place?

No. Schools make admissions decisions. We prepare your child for the test and support the application.

Can lessons continue after the test?

Yes. Your child can move on to subject lessons, and the coordinator keeps the same learning record.

Plan the preparation.

Tell us your country, your child's current year and the schools you have in mind.
