# Maths, one to one.

Source: https://www.eltschool.org/sg/en/tutoring/maths

Maths lessons for Singapore students at international and British-curriculum schools, from upper primary to IB Diploma and International A-Level. A specialist tutor teaches one to one, online, building method and exam technique in the order your child's course follows.

Following: UK Key Stages 2–3 · IGCSE / International GCSE · IB MYP and Diploma · International A-Level

## What we follow.

| Curriculum | What lessons cover |
|---|---|
| UK Key Stages 2–3 | Number, algebra, geometry and problem solving, including the maths assumed by entrance tests |
| IGCSE / International GCSE | Core and Extended (Cambridge) or Foundation and Higher (Pearson Edexcel) content, and Additional Mathematics where offered |
| IB MYP and Diploma | Mathematics: Analysis and Approaches, and Applications and Interpretation, at SL and HL, including the internal assessment |
| International A-Level | Pure mathematics, statistics and mechanics; Further Mathematics on request (to be confirmed) |

We do not teach the MOE syllabus (PSLE, O Level or the Singapore-Cambridge H2 A-Level). Lessons follow international and UK curricula only.

## Topics families ask about.

- Algebra and functions
- Calculus
- Statistics and probability
- Exam technique: showing working and using a calculator well

## Weekly, with a record.

1. **Assessment**: A first lesson shows where your child is now against their school's course and exam timetable.
2. **Weekly lessons**: One-to-one, online, at times that suit Singapore after-school hours and weekends.
3. **Records and reports**: A written note after each lesson, and a report to parents every (to be confirmed).
4. **Exam seasons**: Lessons shift to past-paper practice and revision before school tests and external exams.

## Who teaches.

Maths lessons are taught by subject specialists whose background, subjects and curricula, and qualifications checked by ELT are shown on each profile.

## About Maths lessons.

**Is this the same as Singapore Maths?**

No. We follow international school courses (IGCSE, IB, International A-Level), not the MOE syllabus.

**Can you help with the IB Maths internal assessment?**

Yes — choosing a workable topic, the mathematics involved and feedback within the IB's rules on outside help.

**Can maths lessons be combined with entrance test preparation?**

Yes. For families applying to boarding schools, maths is often part of a single [boarding school preparation](https://www.eltschool.org/sg/en/courses/boarding-school-preparation) programme.
