# UKiset preparation, one to one.

This course is for Singapore families whose child will sit UKiset for entry to a UK independent school. A specialist tutor works through the English, maths and reasoning the test measures, in its format, alongside your child's regular school subjects.

## Families applying to UK schools.

- Children applying to UK independent schools that ask overseas applicants for UKiset (to be confirmed)
- Students at international schools in Singapore, following IGCSE, IB or a UK-style curriculum
- Families who want test preparation joined up with English, maths and science, not studied in isolation

## In the test's format.

| Area | What we practise |
|---|---|
| Reasoning | Verbal, non-verbal and spatial reasoning question types, and working at pace |
| English | Reading and writing in English at the level schools expect (to be confirmed) |
| Maths | The mathematics the test assumes, mapped to your child's current school year |
| Interview | Talking about interests and reasoning aloud, if the school also interviews |

## Weekly, with a plan.

1. **Assessment**: A first lesson shows where your child is now in each area.
2. **Weekly lessons**: One-to-one, online, at times that suit Singapore after-school hours.
3. **Records and reports**: A written note after each lesson and a report to parents every (to be confirmed).
4. **Before the test**: Timed practice and a final review with your coordinator.

## When to start.

It can help to start several months before the test date, and earlier if English or maths needs building first. Your coordinator works back from the school's registration deadline and Singapore's January school year. We do not promise a result or a fixed length of preparation.
