ELT School — one-to-one online lessons with native English-speaking specialists. Founded in London in 1984.

## Since 1984.

ELT School began in London in 1984 as ELT School of English. As we added academic subjects and admissions support, the name became ELT School. [Read our full history](https://www.eltschool.org/sg/en/about/history).

Today, lessons are one to one and online. We teach families in Singapore, Hong Kong and Taiwan, and executives and professionals worldwide through [Executive English](https://www.eltschool.org/intl/en/executive-english).

## Three principles.

1. **One to one**: Every lesson is planned for one student.
2. **One coordinator**: The same person plans each stage with your family.
3. **Written records**: A note after every lesson and regular reports to parents.

## How we choose tutors.

Tutors are subject specialists whose qualifications ELT checks before they teach. Profiles show what was checked and when. See [tutors](https://www.eltschool.org/sg/en/teachers).
