# Boarding abroad, with support that travels.

For families outside Hong Kong, Singapore, Taiwan and Japan whose child boards at a school in another country, in the UK or elsewhere. Subject specialists teach one to one, online, in gaps in the school week in your child's time zone, and reports come to you wherever you live.

## Fitting into boarding life.

- **School time zone**: Lessons are set in your child's local time, in slots the school permits, such as weekends or supervised study time.
- **School calendar**: Lessons track the school's course, prep, mocks and exam periods, and pause for holidays if you wish.
- **Reports to you**: Lesson notes and reports are sent to you in your own country, every (to be confirmed).
- **Continuity**: If ELT taught your child before they started boarding, the coordinator hands the learning record to the new tutor.

## School, home and tutor.

| Your child at school | Lessons are booked in the school's local time, inside the hours the school allows |
| You at home | Notes and reports arrive by email, so you can read them at a time that suits you |
| The tutor | The coordinator chooses a tutor whose working hours overlap with the school's free time (to be confirmed) |

Clock changes for summer time happen on different dates in different countries; the coordinator confirms lesson times around them.

## Adding to school, not replacing it.

Tutoring supports what the school teaches; it does not take its place. With your consent, the coordinator can take the school's reports and feedback into account when planning lessons.

Some schools set rules on outside tutoring during term time. We follow them (to be confirmed).
