# Executive Business English. Meetings to memos.

Source: https://www.eltschool.org/intl/en/executive-english/executive-business

This programme is for executives and senior professionals who work in English and want to lead meetings, negotiate, present and write with more control. A tutor matched to your situations works with you one to one, online, using the material from your own week.

## Situation by situation.

| Situation | What we practise |
|---|---|
| Meetings | Opening and steering a discussion, disagreeing constructively, summarising decisions and next steps |
| Negotiation | Stating a position, asking questions that test the other side's, handling pressure and closing clearly |
| Presentations | Structuring the message for the audience, delivering it, and taking questions from boards, clients or investors |
| Writing | Emails, reports and proposals: tone, structure and the right level of directness |
| Business dinners and networking | Small talk, introductions and keeping a conversation going in a social setting |

## One lesson.

1. **Your agenda**: You bring an upcoming meeting, presentation or draft. Each lesson is 50 minutes.
2. **Rehearsal**: You run the meeting or presentation with the tutor in role, or work through the draft together.
3. **Feedback**: Specific points on language, structure and tone, with alternatives you can use straight away.
4. **Written note**: A short note after the lesson records what was practised and what to try next.

## Frequency and length.

Lessons can be weekly or twice a week, and more frequent before a particular event such as a negotiation or a board presentation. Your coordinator suggests a frequency in your plan and reviews it with you.

Progress depends on your starting point and how often you practise, so we do not promise a result within a fixed period.

## Matched to your work.

Your coordinator matches a tutor with experience relevant to your situations and industry, where we can check it. (to be confirmed)

## Fees in USD, per lesson.

Lessons are priced per one-to-one lesson in US dollars, with the first consultation, tutor matching, a personal plan and a written note after every lesson included. All lessons are contracted with ELT Education Inc. (Tokyo, Japan), which operates ELT School with ELT School of English Ltd. (London, United Kingdom).
