For families living outside Hong Kong, Singapore, Taiwan and Japan. Native English-speaking subject specialists teach your child one to one, online and in English — school subjects in IB, IGCSE and A-Level, entry to boarding schools, and UK university applications — with fees in USD.

ELT School was founded in London in 1984. Every lesson is taught online, so there is no classroom to travel to. Families in Hong Kong, Singapore or Taiwan have [their own pages](https://www.eltschool.org/#markets).

From primary school to university: Primary years · Choosing the next school · IGCSE or MYP · IB Diploma or A-Level · Applying to university

## Three kinds of support, side by side.

Start with the one that matters most to your family now. Your coordinator builds the rest of the plan with you, stage by stage.

- **School subjects** (IB · IGCSE · A-Level): Regular one-to-one lessons in English, Maths and the sciences, following the curriculum your child's school already teaches.
- **The next school** (Boarding schools · Tests · Applications): UKiset, ISEB Pre-Test, 11+ and 13+ preparation and interviews for boarding schools, plus help with choosing schools and applying.
- **University applications** (UCAS · Personal statement · Interview): Choosing courses, drafting the personal statement and preparing for interviews at UK universities, alongside final-year subjects.

Considering schools in the UK? Start with the [UK schools guide](https://www.eltschool.org/intl/en/boarding-schools). Our lessons follow international and UK curricula; we do not teach national school syllabuses of individual countries.

## Executive English, for adults at work.

A separate one-to-one service for executives and professionals — meetings, negotiations, presentations and business writing — with its own fees in USD.

## Schools and tutors may change. Your coordinator does not.

One coordinator keeps your child's learning record, briefs every new tutor before the first lesson and reports to you every (to be confirmed).

Our tutors teach from Japan and the UK, so we can usually offer lesson times on both sides of your day. Your coordinator plans lessons in your own time zone and adjusts them when clocks change.

- Plans each stage with you
- Reads every lesson note
- Arranges cover when a tutor is away

## Things families ask first.

**We live in a country not listed on your site. Can we still join?**

Yes. We accept families from anywhere in the world; this section is for families outside Hong Kong, Singapore, Taiwan and Japan. If you are unsure, ask in a free first consultation. See the [FAQ](https://www.eltschool.org/intl/en/faq).

**How do lessons work across time zones?**

With tutors in Japan and the UK, your coordinator looks for times that suit your child's school day, and confirms every lesson in your local time.

**Our school year does not start in September. Can we still aim for UK entry?**

Yes. Your coordinator matches your child's age and current year to the UK year group and works back from each school's registration and test dates. See the [application timeline](https://www.eltschool.org/intl/en/guides/admissions/application-timeline).

**Do you guarantee a place or an offer?**

No. Schools and universities make their own admissions decisions. We prepare your child and support the application.
