ELT School — one-to-one online lessons with native English-speaking specialists. Founded in London in 1984. Today we teach families in Hong Kong, Singapore and Taiwan, and executives and professionals worldwide.

## London roots, since 1984.

ELT School began in London in 1984 as ELT School of English. As we added academic subjects and admissions support, the name became ELT School. [Read our full history](https://www.eltschool.org/hk/en/about/history).

Today all lessons are one to one and online. In Hong Kong, we support families from school subjects at international schools, through entry to boarding schools abroad or international schools in Hong Kong, to university applications.

## Three principles.

1. **One to one**: Every lesson is planned for one student and their own curriculum and goals.
2. **One coordinator**: The same coordinator follows your family from stage to stage, and briefs every new tutor.
3. **Records and reports**: A written note after every lesson and regular reports to parents.

## How we choose tutors.

Tutors are native English-speaking subject specialists. We introduce a tutor for the subjects and curricula they know, after checking their qualifications, teaching experience and identity. Tutors in the UK have a DBS check. Lessons are recorded only with a parent's consent.
